The last month

First of all, I cannot even begin to tell you how fast this year is going by! We’re already halfway through the year… feels like it was just weeks that the year began. Where did it all go?

Anyway, lots of things have happened over the last month. Here’s an appropriate catch up post for you folk…

That’s our new cat, Radley! We were thinking of actually getting a new cat in the next year, but he needed a new home. We couldn’t possibly let him go! He’s such an adorable (and quite fluffy, since he’s long-haired) cat. At least him and Ty are getting along… though the first couple of weeks were very interesting for the most part with all the hissing and clawing.

I’m also the proud new owner of a 13″ MacBook Pro! I’ve switched to The Cult of Mac (LOL) and I’m loving every minute of it so far. It’s weird that I switched to Mac just as Sean switched to a PC

For my birthday present, Miguel bought me tickets for the Adele show… thanks again, Kuya!!! 😀 It was just super lovely and seeing her live was spectacular. Lots of goosebumps, I tell ya! If you wanna see videos, head over to my YouTube channel.

And that’s about it for now, there are a whole lot more things brewing for the next several months so stay tuned! I can’t wait for summer to begin…

Election 2011

I voted earlier today. If you haven’t done so, you still have another hour and a half until polling stations close. Laziness and/or indifference is never an excuse. VOTE! 🙂

PSN

Totally sucks for Sony during this whole PlayStation Network outage debacle. I’ve been saying that you only get the service that you (don’t) pay for. Not that I’m saying Xbox LIVE is perfect, but at least the fee I pay for the membership goes to helping build a much safer and efficient infrastructure. I wonder if PSN was more fee-based like LIVE if it would have been able to prevent this kind of issue. What do you think?

Oh, Britney. This is why I heart you.

I cannot wait to dance to this song with everyone at my birthday party next weekend! This song surely describes how I feel about dancing…

Resolutions, or lack thereof

I was having a conversation with one of my best friends, Allie, on New Year’s Eve about making resolutions. I told her that this year, I do not think I will have any. Let me explain why…

I have lived most of my life in the present. While I do create short-term goals for myself from time to time, I cannot be bothered to plan for something five to ten years down the road. I like to just be able to take everything in as it happens and plan accordingly… this is what also makes me very spontaneous.

Also, I am not going to take some time to make a list of things that I want to change about myself. Writing out resolutions just make me more self-conscious. It makes me believe that there are so many things that I want to be corrected from my life. While there are some improvements I can work on, change is inevitable. Once again, that will be dealt with when the time comes.

Finally, it just doesn’t work 90% of the time anyway. Most of you have probably already gave up on a few resolutions… and we’re just a little over three days in to the year. I don’t want to set myself up for failure that way.

And great minds to think alike. My cousin, Sam, coincidentally tweeted this last night:

@SVILLAMOR:
No resolutions. I’m just going to embrace things as they come and have faith that everything will turn out the way it’s supposed to be.

Having said that, what are your resolutions this year? Just because I may not have any at all this year doesn’t mean that I am not entirely curious about yours! Post them in the comments and we can discuss.

Holidays 2010

As usual, my family holiday parties are filled with laughs, food, drinks, desserts, and presents. Here are some of the photos taken…
